Dr. Samson Phan is a Project Engineer at NASA Ames and is affiliated with the NASA Small Spacecraft Technology Program (SSTP) where he focuses on advancing new technologies for small spacecraft. He currently works with small businesses and U.S. colleges and universities to develop new capabilities for the small spacecraft industry.

Dr. Samson Phan received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California Los Angeles. His career has been focused on developing new space technologies in partnership with government agencies. Dr. Phan is a Senior Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and is active in the local Experimental Aircraft Association chapter.
